Since 2005, Downtown Charlottetown Inc. has proudly recognized the outstanding contributions of businesses and individuals within our Business Improvement Area (BIA)* through the DCI Annual Awards. These awards celebrate those who make a lasting impact on our downtown community.


We invite you to nominate a deserving business or individual for any or all of the below categories (scroll for more details).


Deadline for 2025 Nominations: April 11, 2025.


*BIA boundaries: Prince to Pownal St. and Euston St. to the historic Charlottetown waterfront.

DCI Retailer of the Year Award:

Recognizing a standout retailer that excels in customer service, community engagement, and business success. The winning business should feature a well-maintained storefront, a welcoming team, and a strong presence both online and in local marketing. Judges will consider longevity, community involvement, and contributions to downtown’s vibrancy.

Retailer of the Year Nomination

DCI Business Development of the Year Award:

Awarded to a business that has significantly enhanced the downtown landscape through property improvements, job creation, service expansion, and overall investment in the community. Contributing to its economic vitality.

Business Development of the Year Nomination

DCI President’s Award:

Honoring an individual or business that has made a lasting and meaningful impact on downtown Charlottetown by fostering community spirit, driving economic growth, or marking a major milestone. The recipient goes above and beyond to support the BIA’s vision and the heart of the city.
